Women in Muhammad’s Life

Throughout the Arabian Peninsular, Arabs and foreigners, women were but commodities for selling and purchase. This continues to be prevalent in every country in the West. A girl would change her maiden name to her husband’s name
because she had become his ‘property’. When women rejected this scourge, laws have been amended accordingly in some countries in order to have the right to keep their father’s name. Yet, some changed their names to that of their husbands, or to have any names they want. All children can be named after any other name as well.
In the midst of this situation, Muhammad (Peace be upon him) came to restore the rights of women as women are equal to men. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to pamper his wife.
